A Glimpse of Truth: Satori

In Japanese Zen Buddhism, “Satori” means “awakening,” and refers to the experience of kensho, discovering one’s true nature.  What happens to our true nature from birth to adulthood?  We are shaped by our community and culture, as well as attachment to the physical and material world, and simply lose sight of it.  So Satori is a glimpse of truth, our natural/original state, because we all begin life as infinite beings of light and love.  You can get in touch with this peace within, for the connection to the Divine is alive within us all.
